Congratulations!
We are now official members of the Florissant United Soccer Club (FUSC).
I am so excited about this upcoming fall soccer season! We haven’t
began baseball or summer and we’re already talking soccer!
Unfortunately, we were unable to get a spring outdoor soccer team
together for this season.Yes,
we are going to be taking on a new look. We are now going to be a
‘club’ team. Yes, we’ve lost a few key players……but we are merging with
an already established club team. We may not boast any ‘superstars’ but
we will have a ‘solid’ team without any weak links. Teamwork is going
to be our asset. FUSC BU14 are gonna rock!
I
know most of you know who the team that we are merging with is.
Unfortunately, he would prefer his name & club association not be
publicized at this time. Let me assure you, the coach is a competent
coach and all round good guy.
Here are some
guarantees for this upcoming season:
-we will play
competitively
-we will play in a
minimum of two tournaments, hopefully one will be out of town
-we will offer
top-rate training
-we will play indoor
soccer (futsal of some sort) during the winter
-we will have a
spring team in 2009
A few other
guarantees concerning finances & administration:
-FUSC allows more
freedom & autonomy for teams than do most clubs, therefore we can
operate more efficiently than most clubs
-we will offer
comparable training, games, and tournaments etc. as other clubs at a
more economical cost
FUSC
will allow us to use their website. We will post our schedules,
calendar events, team & individual stats and game summaries.
Hopefully, we can collect photos of the boys and post them on the
website. Make sure you save their website address to your ‘favorites’.
